Question by D0od: Are these PC’s worth their price? (Gaming Pc’s on eBay?)?
I’m looking to buy a gaming pc soon and I want to know whether these PC’s are worth their price tag and whether or not they are good:

No they are not and they are also overpriced and unbalanced. There is also a lot of misleading information from that user.
Firstly processors don’t simply add up to that power of 5Ghz or 10.4Ghz that is very wrong and not how they work and that should instantly make you think twice about this seller. Let me state clearly these processors don’t equal or run at such speeds of 5Ghz or 10Ghz
There is no point in getting 4GB to 8GB ram unless the OS is Vista 64-bit. Secondly 8GB is completely useless just for gaming.
The graphics card on two of the machines are 1GB 9500GTs. The 9500GT isn’t gaming card and is quickly outdated and on top of that the seller is trying to make it seem like a great card just because it is 1GB. That 1GB on the graphics card hardly makes any real difference in performance to 9500GT with 512mb. Once again things don’t work like that. Just because something seems great in size doesn’t actually mean it is.
There is a lot more stuff in there which are misleading which I won’t go in to.
I’ll conclude by saying the three computers listed are completely unbalanced and overpriced and not worth the price for performance.
If you want recommendations on where you can get better priced computers I can give suggestions if you like.
I’ll also just list a quick example of what sort of main core specs you should look out for which would be a good gaming pc(this is just one type).
E8400 Core 2 Duo or Q6600 Quad Core
2 or 4GB DDR2 800Mhz ram (4GB and above only useful when using Vista 64-bit)
512mb Geforce 8800GT or Ati HD4850 512mb
The specs above would be considered a mid-high range gaming pc and widely considered as one of the best price/performance ratio specs. Furthermore those specs easily surpasses the power of current consoles(ps3/360) by a long shot.
Ok here are websites I recommend looking at.
Ebuyer is my favourite and one that I go to first.

This computer is a good place to start from(Ricochet Pro) from their range.

I build my PC’s by the way so I have never used the three below but I’ve read the most good feedback on the first two.
